Street Shooting with Roger, Mark, and Carly, in DTLA

Yesterday, I met with street photographers, Roger Clay, Carly Heliker, and Mark Rosales for a little walk around in DTLA (downtown Los Angeles).

DTLA is a target rich environment for street photographers, but you have to know what you are doing. Here, Carly demonstrates her polished technique.

Prior to any street shooting expedition, it’s important to have a planning meeting.  If Starbucks is involved, all the better.

Once on the streets, camera settings are checked, and the plan is implemented.

Of course, not every photo is a winner. When you totally miss a shot, it’s important to have friend who understands.
