Today, I was cleaning up some old files and ran across a couple of ads that I photographed for an auto accessories company — specifically, wire wheels — about 12 years ago. If you care, the shots were made with a Nikon D100 with a sensor that was all of 6MP (1.5x crop factor). The lens was a Nikkor 24-120mm, f3.5-5.6.
First, I’ll show you the original, un-retouched photos. They were shot in a warehouse with a sheet on the floor 🙂 — not in a studio! Next, I’ll show you the finished versions, printed as full page ads in Lowrider Magazine, in 2003.
I thought some of you might like to see behind the scenes and the difference post-production and graphics design can make.
