For the second post in a row, I seemed to have strayed from the street photography theme. My neighbor’s little boy, Francis, came for a play date with Casper. My Olympus OMD-EM5 just happened to be on the kitchen table so let me share of few photos as Frankie & Casper hang out.
Oh, I explained to Frankie that I had not changed a diaper in about 30 years, so he fully cooperated, thankfully. 🙂 …and Casper seemed very happy to have someone, near his own size, to play with.
The photos were just grab shots of a toddler and a puppy doing what they do. It was late afternoon, and there was no direct sunlight, though there was plenty of window light, and the patio door was open. Aperture settings were f2.8 and f4, while the shutter speed was 1/60 — hence a little motion blur from Casper’s tail. The lens was a M. Zuiko 17mm/f2.8. As has been my experience with this lens, it tends to be a little on the soft side, especially as it approaches maximum aperture. Still, I think that is appropriate for the subject.
